GRAND RAPIDS RISE

Saige Ka’aha’aina-Torres is a championship-proven setter for the Grand Rapids Rise. A Honolulu native, she won the 2022 NCAA title as Texas’s starting setter after three seasons at Utah, then turned pro with stops in Puerto Rico (third place with Changas de Naranjito) and LOVB Austin, where she helped capture the league’s inaugural 2025 championship. In 2025 she also earned selection to the U.S. Women’s National Team for Volleyball Nations League. She joins the Rise for 2026 with a résumé built on tempo control, leadership, and big-match poise.

  • 2019: Set Utah’s single-season assists record with 1,518 (11.33/set); AVCA All-
    America Honorable Mention; Pacific South All-Region; two 67-assist matches and 10
    matches with 50+ assists.
  • 2020: Led the Pac-12 in assists per set (10.58); top-10 in digs/set; AVCA All-Region.
  • 2018: Appeared in 32 matches; 349 assists, 104 digs, 16 aces; 2 double-doubles.
