Dallas Hobbs is an explosive guard from Dallas, Texas, now continuing his collegiate career with the Rice Owls. Known for his scoring touch, quickness, and playmaking ability, Hobbs transferred to Rice after two strong seasons at Mount St. Mary’s, where he developed into one of the MAAC’s most consistent offensive threats. During the 2024–25 season, Hobbs appeared in 30 games with 26 starts, averaging 12.4 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game. He scored in double figures 20 times, including three games with 20 or more points, and earned a spot on the MAAC All-Tournament Team after helping lead the Mountaineers to an NCAA First Four win over American. Known for his confidence from deep, Hobbs hit 5-of-5 from three-point range en route to 21 points at Maryland and recorded a career-high 22 points at Saint Peter’s. As a freshman in 2023–24, Hobbs appeared in 26 games with 11 starts, averaging 7.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.5 assists. He recorded his first career double-double against Georgetown with 10 points and 10 rebounds and posted 20-point outings versus Howard and Delaware State. A graduate of Dynamic Prep (TX), Hobbs averaged 11.0 points and 4.5 assists as a senior and was known for his leadership and court vision.
